Exploring the Connections
Sledding at the Speed of Light
From the story:
Healing Dreams
In 1983, Marc Barasch's dreams saved him from thyroid cancer. Learn about his book Healing Dreams on this site-buy the book, read reviews, sign up for Marc's email newsletter, and find out when he might be visiting your area.
Association for the Study of Dreams
Dreams can be revealing, scary, predictive, or soothing. For members of the ASD, dreams are a science. These researchres study the meanings, effects, cultural significance, and just about every other aspect of dreams. Here you can read about the association's conferences and publications, including a peer-reviewed journal and a quarterly magazine; find a research project on dreams to participate in; print out fact sheets about dreams and nightmares for adults or children; and stop by the bulletin board to ask a question about dreams, although the association discourages scientists from interpreting individual dreams online.
For additional information:
Dream Central
Dream central offers hours of entertainment and thought-provoking information on dreams. Includes a guide to self-analyzing your dreams; a dream dictionary, which tells you what it means if you dream of alligators or yarn; a forum where you can share your dreams with others; and a dream-analyzing service, done by hand via email. This site does not discourage anyone from interpreting individual dreams online.
DreamBank.net
The DreamBank is a collection of dream reports gathered by researchers at the University of California-Santa Cruz. Here you can search or browse the dreams of grade-school girls in the Bay Area, lucid dreamers, blind people, scientists, and college students. This site is an addition to the psychology department's The Quantitative Study of Dreams, which describes the research and methods of scientists G. William Domhoff and Adam Schneider. From this site, access a library of research and information about dreams, resources for scientists, and an FAQ for the general public. Again, no dream interpretation here.
